    L&D leaders: Ever been told things like "employees need to be more accountable" without really knowing what they mean? Julie Dirksen breaks down how to get clear on what's actually needed. 👇 🔎 Be specific. Instead of focusing on abstract terms like "accountability," go a step further and define what actions actually show accountability (i.e., meeting deadlines, consistent communication, or being receptive to feedback). 📸 Picture it. Imagine snapping a photo or taking a video of the behavior you want to see. What would it look like? This helps you understand exactly what you're aiming for. 📈 Focus on results. Think about what you ultimately want to achieve, like a more engaged team or better collaboration. Then, figure out what actions lead to those results, such as good communication or clear goals. When it comes to behavior change, we need to make things clear and simple so everyone knows what to do and how to succeed.
